Let's calm down, folks
I personally know Travis Adamson aka "fake fan undercover Ute guy" on Twitter. He is a huge BYU fan. He is also a huge Squally Canada fan.

That being said, he is not a delusional fan or one that wears rose colored glasses about BYU football (Not saying that any of you are). He will call things out as he sees them and/or state the facts, just as most of you would on CB, Twitter, etc. Would any of us say those exact words to Squally's face? Of course not, he would wreck you. For the same reason you wouldn't go up to Detmer and say "Bro, you were not the best offensive coordinator, but congrats on the Heisman." If you met Ty Detmer you would compliment him and probably ask for a pic or autograph.

I graduated from BYU, but I'm also a UW Huskies fan. Every time Jake Browning back pedals and takes a sack for a 20+ yard loss I'm going to light him up on Twitter and say he looks like Brandon Weeden trying to be Russell Wilson. I have nothing personally against Browning, but seriously...stop doing that bro. If BYU gets a sack on him in a couple weeks you'll know exactly what I'm talking about.

It's ok to be both a fan while still being critical of their performance, particularly in a place such as CB, Twitter, Facebook, at the game, or in our living room watching the game on TV. That's a part of what makes sports entertaining, and that's the forum we have to do so.

In this case he was actually mostly praiseworthy and definitely not mean-spirited. He just stated the facts while still paying Squally a compliment. Squally Canada isn't the best RB BYU has had (Unga, Brown, Jamal, Jamaal, Staley, etc.), and I don't think Canada thinks that he is either. He was ok with accepting a little criticism from his dad, so why wouldn't he from a coach, teammate or fan? Athletes are used to criticism. In many cases it what makes them want to improve and be better.

On a side note: Ironically, the COUNTRY of Canada isn't even the best country. It's a really, really good country, and I would definitely live there, but it's not better than the United States, and I think everyone knows that. And that's fine.
