I’m one of those guys that loves to draw stuff up. I’ve been offensive minded as long as I’ve really understood the game, and I’ve wanted to be a high school OC for years now. Just writing down plays that I’ve included that fly/sweep motion I’m now realizing opens up your entire scheme ideology. I have found that by using the same formation, the same motion with the same motion back, I can get 10+ run plays and 3-4 play action concepts for each grouping, which, as I’ve seen watching film of the teams we play, that stuff can really confuse defenses and very much improve your winning chance. While I came up with the plays on these, let it be known Grimes is an offensive genius. That confusion and unpredictability is what I believe has helped turn our offense around quite a bit. Allowing Squally close to 120 yards off of motion and Hifo 45 more off the sweep is something not many team’s can do against a stout B10 defense.
