You can't look at how LaVell executed against teams when he first started coaching and compare that to how Kalani is doing it. The landscape of college football is completely different. It's an average comparison with just Bronco and Kalani.
None of those coaches are consistently facing front loaded schedules like Kalani. None of those coaches are dealing with recruiting against a rival school that is now in the upper echelon of football (P5).
I don't think Kalani is doing a great job and I'm not saying he is shouldn't be under pressure. But I don't think continuously comparing him to previous coaches proves nothing. There are just too many changes the past 40 or so years.
