Zach Wilson is not the answer. BYU’s problem is coaching.
And players can’t overcome poor coaching.

When Taysom went down to injury in 2014, Christian Stewart, a guy who was talked into joining the team, took over. He lost 4 straight games and won 4 straight. He looked good and led the team well. He looked far better than Tanner or Taysom ever did under Sitake.

When Taysom was injured in 2015, Anae took a fresh off his mission Tanner and made him a Freshman all-American.

Now, that Freshman All-American has regressed to a very poor QB. Last year, we went through 4 quarterbacks who couldn’t do the job.

So, I don’t believe Zach is the panacea we want him to be.

I believe Zach should start because of Tanner’s performance. If he has success, it will be in spite of coaching.

Fans need to come around to the idea that the BYU O struggles due to QB limitations. It is the #1 issue since 2017. (Turnpike Lane, Oct 10, 2018 at 10:02am)
I agree that coaching is a huge problem... but the worst of coaches can’t hold some players back. Think Baker Mayfield (46in96, Oct 10, 2018 at 9:30am)
