I love all the rules we've created about "fanhood". If he doesn't enjoy it
and it makes him sad maybe that is the right decision to not attend. I think it's odd the way some people choose to consume sports or be a "fan" are so easily pushed on others. It's not life or death, at the root it's supposed to be entertainment or make one happy. If it doesn't, maybe the best decision for him is to not consume it?
