If it was mentioned in the interview, then the expectations were clear

and there shouldn't be any griping about it. As a fan I don't agree with it, not one bit. However, if Kalani knew the academic standards would be rigid and felt he needed them to be more flexible it is on him for not having them agree to it before he signed on.
