it’s the Jimmies and the Joes. Kalani was a terrific coach when Taysom, Fred Warner, and Tejan were all crackin’ skulls.
What we have now is just not very impressive. Tanner is Tanner. Out WR group is just awful, we have no RB depth. Takitaki is good but undersized, Butch has been completely nonexistent, and our secondary is horrendous. We simply have to get better players in the program and on the field. We are slow, unathletic by comparison to P5 teams (and Utah St.?) and not nearly where we need to be in terms of talent.
Now, is it Kslani’s fault that we have subpar talent? It may be. But I see him as being ham-strung at BYU in terms of the Hojor Code, lack of conference, being viewed in-state as little brother to Utah, and all of the issues with which BYU has always dealt.
