We obviously have to win
and win big to make independence viable. Beating Wisconsin on the road while losing to California and Utah State at home doesn’t cut if you want to be respected and feared by P5 programs.
I’d like to see BYU lower it’s academic standards to more closely reflect its ownership and to then grow to 50,000-60,000 students.
Making it much easier to admit scholarship and walk-in-on athletes is also vital. Rejecting a Juan Diego High School athlete, Chinonso Opara, this year over academics was embarrassing.
