I just picked up some ice at the gas station.
Cashier (to co-worker): “I’m gonna get me some lottery tickets when I get off work.”
Me: “What’s the jackpot up to?”
Cashier: “It just reached $1 billion.”
Me: “Oh wow. That’s a lot. When it was only $200 million it wasn’t a big deal. I mean, what am I gonna do with only $200 million? But now, this is interesting!”
Cashier: (blank stare)
