As the Go Fund Me campaign states, my younger brother is in dire need of an auto-transplant of his own kidney but his insurance company continues to deny the claim. We are afraid if the surgery doesn't happen soon, he will lose his life as his body breaks down from severe pain.

The process removes one's own kidney and then re-inserts it closer to the bladder removing the the need for kidney stones to traverse the tiny urerter to the bladder when passing from the body. The act of removing the kidney and re-inserting it severs all nerve endings to the kidney, thus removing the debilitating pain caused by passing kidney stones.

At this point, the Doctors can't figure out how to stop the production of kidney stones, but have figured out how to make the process easier and less painful for his body.
