A mistake is not getting free plays run because of poor clock management.
I can’t think of a reasonable senerio where that is a good idea. Being so sure you’ll score, that you don’t want, a second of third chance, is a mistake.
Honestly even if Wilson breaks those tackles, runs or throws a TD, we'd be happy but we’d also say that it was lucky because of the poor management of the clock.
