athletics as I knew it growing up. The sporting landscape is shifting and the leaders of BYU athletics seem to think that it is still 1984. The fact that they seem unwilling to do what is necessary to keep up makes me angry.

Maybe just playing the games is good enough for some people, but it isn't enough for me. It is too late for me to switch teams, but I have encouraged my kids to pick another team to pour their hearts into, just not Utah.
