This is literally the most tired and thoughtless continuing thought on cougar
Basketball. You don’t always start your most talented guys. Period. End of story. Energy and production off the bench can be just as valuable, if not more. When you bring in your reserves and they put up points, it’s often when your team can pull ahead and build leads against the other teams bench. This was unbelievably evident last night.

Maybe the starting 5 will need more production and Rose will be forced to insert Emery there or more. But if you can get what you need put off childs/haws in the first 6 minutes and then bring in emery and throw an early windmill that connects, may be the key to extra victories all season.

It’s important to note While it may not be best to start your five most talented players, you do you typically want to finish with your Best five on the floor. Rose made a little bit of a statement last night when childs/haws/Emery/harding/hardnet finished the game.
