Found this line depressing:
"...but will not go down a long road with serial honor-code breakers."

This, to me, was the impactful line of Harmon's article, and I find it very depressing.

I was on board with Bronco leaving because I was on board with taking the risk to see if BYU could move beyond the Bronco ceiling. I could appreciate Bronco's obsession with the unheralded, less talented, kamikaze practice players in his effort to build a consistent program built on grit, with minimized honor code issues, etc.

But in my mind, I thought that perhaps a KS type could break that mold, take more chances on higher ranked recruits, and somehow field more talent, particularly on the D and O lines. In my mind, beefed up lines would accelerate what BYU already had on offense under Anae, and accommodate for average secondaries.

This line, about the long road with honor code breakers, makes me feel like that dream is now dead. That KS is resigned to re-position the team under Bronco's ceiling, admitting to himself that it is just too difficult to both land and retain the high risk athletes.

Bummer.
