Can have really crappy jobs doing yardwork, fast food, or cleaning toilets. Watching sleeping children is preferable...I know because my girls DO prefer it. They would much rather babysit and do their homework after cleaning up.

This idea that anything short of paying double minimum wage for watching sleeping kids is ripping kids off is strange to me. An honest question... can you explain why they deserve $15 an hour if they are 14 to 16 years old? I've given my reasons why I feel minimum wage is a good market for them... why do you feel it isn't?

Btw, if you want to pay more that is always your right. I'm just reacting against comments saying it is somehow wrong to pay less.

Also ftr, I was not arguing for $30, but for minimum wage as a max for a16 year old. If it's a 14 year old then I think the $30 could be fine because a younger teen is less skilled.
