Mine was about $300-400, but I did it all myself and included a bypass.
It was about $250 for the the GE sofenter if I remember right, $50 for the valves, and another $100 for the water filter I installed too.
Use shark-bite couplings and the only tool you need is a pex tube cutter.

Buy your own unit and pay a plumber to install it. $600-$800 total.
