To me there is no better feeling than owing nothing. I know this is CB where
everybody is a great investor but I can't tell you how many guys I have known that tell me they are investing their money instead of paying down their debt and then eventually end up in some serious trouble. I've watched 4 guys in my neighborhood lose their houses and each one of them was like that.
We try to invest wisely and have built up a nice retirement but that nagging debt eats at me and even more at my wife. We will be paying off our house in the next two years and we will be free and clear of all debt. Can't wait for that.
