In addition to what I said in my post in the parent thread: Isn’t
a big part of Holmoe’s job sales? If he doesn’t put out a statement with positive spin right now, it kills recruiting. The dumbest thing in the world right now would be for him to have said something like what would have made 777 happy. That would have set us back further.

After next year we can evaluate whether it makes sense to let another coach go through the growing pains of learning about the oddities of BYU or let Sitake keep going. As frustrated as I’ve been at times, I’m optimistic the answer will be to stay the course.
