Yesterday my daughter was devastated to see me leave to go to scouts (I'm the scoutmaster) before her bedtime. We had been playing a silly board game together, but it meant the world to her. She hugged me tightly and gave me a tear-soaked kiss.
Today she was equally sad to see me go to work. I can still picture her little hand waving goodbye out the window as I left her sight.
Too often I get frustrated with her for the smallest things and think to myself, "Just grow up." Leaving her each day completely melts that away.
