"paycheck to paycheck" (note that I'd bet that people with some money in the bank would still answer a survey and say they are living "paycheck to paycheck")?
Don't we expect that people younger than 30 are living paycheck to paycheck? I'm curious how people 80 years old, who don't have paychecks are classified in this data - if you have a $500k annuity and with SS you have a total of $4k/month in income and you spend $4k/month are you telling people you are living "paycheck to paycheck"?
Isn't the plan for most people to use all of their cash when they're young and have small kids at home... and then fund their retirement when they are older (making the most money of their career and their kids are out of the house). And... is that model for them crazy?
What I'd like to see is how many of our 60 year olds are living paycheck to paycheck and then compare that with other world economies.
