Considering the population of Utah, it’s pretty remarkable that the state had 3 FBS teams in bowl games last year and
finish with a winning record (and a highly ranked FCS team).
It would be pretty interesting to compare number of bowl teams from each state with the population of the state.
I’d have to guess Alabama is another anomaly, with two highly ranked schools in a relatively small state.
