You underestimate how much influence your parents and social network

have impacted your life. If you grow up with educated parents, and educated friends of your parents, and educated hard working neighbors, your life will be exponentially easier than if you grow up with the opposite.

My son has parents who read with him and do math with him every day. He’s surrounded by educated, hard working people all day. Regardless of IQ, that’s a gigantic advantage.
