I think it's uncomfortable on the broadcast when the analyst starts mentioning personal things about the lead commentator. For example, Van Gundy: "You only had to travel here from Eugene, Oregon to get here." He also pokes fun at the lead commentator, who many times seems to not know how to respond to that. Call me old-fashioned, but I prefer the traditional commentary and analysis.
