Looking at the Jazz's schedule, they should add about 31 wins to their win total
The Jazz currently sit at 25-21, tied for the 7th seed at 6.5 games back of 1st. Taking their schedule by a month-by-month basis, they Jazz have at leat 25 wins built into their schedule, 30-32 or 33 at most.
Consider January, where I predict them finishing the month going 5-1"
Cavs, Blazers, Nuggets, Wolves at home, then Wolves and Blazers on the road.
They should mop the floor with the Wolves and Cavs, and I figure they go 2-1 against the Blazers and Nuggets.
Record after January: 30-22
February prediction, 6-3:
Hawks, Rockets, Suns, Spurs, Warriors, Thunder, Mavs, Clippers, Nuggets
The Rockets game is on a back to back, so that's almost definitely a loss, although with the Hawks coming the night before that might be closer than expected. The Warriors game is right before the All-Star break, so I expect it to be an ugly game, but the Warriors coming out on top. The Nuggets will be on a back to back and is in Denver, so that's a loss.
Record after February: 36-25
March prediction, 14-1:
Bucks, Pelicans, Pelicans, Grizzlies, Thunder, Suns, Wolves, Nets, Wizards, Knicks, Hawks, Bulls, Suns, Lakers, Wizards
Yep, the Jazz will (probably) enter April on a 14 game winning streak, after dropping one to the Bucks to start the month. I look at this schedule and the only othr place I could see a probable loss is the Thunder, the only team with a better record than the Jazz (Lakers don't count, we have the same record and are objectively the better team)
Record after March- 50-26
April prediction, 6-0
Hornets, Suns, Kings, Lakers, Nuggets, Clippers
The Jazz will continue their 14 game win streak, getting to 17 before facing a playoff team in the Lakers, that they should beat, and then a back to back with a home game against the Nuggets and an away game with the Clippers, finishing their win total at...
56-26, their most wins since the 1998 Finals Jazz.
Granted, it probably won't go exactly like this. They'll probably drop a weird one to the Hawks, but win one at the Warriorss. All in all, fifty wins is a goal this team should be gunning for. 56, per last year, would get them the 3 seed, two games behind the 58 win Warriors.
We should be very excited about this team, especially if Donovan keeps performing well at the point guard spot. Barring major injuries, this team could make it to the Western Conference finals, with a first round playoff victory almost guranteed. Granted, I am totally looking through this with purple and gold colored glasses, but this is the time of year when I can finally start caring about basketball.
