There isn’t a job that is geared to mesh well with being stake president.
Questioning whether the call was inspired is over the top. This thread proves that it’s not the wisdom of men that would make this call.
He will adjust. His family will adjust. His counselors will step up. The High Council will shoulder an added burden to sustain the work.
I know a stake president who has to be out of the country 8-9 weeks a year. It all works. A stake president’s schedule is far more defined than it is sudden. A bishop’s day can change with any phone call. A stake president’s experience is much more planned out on a calendar.
He and his stake will be fine.
