I'll be honest here. When I got married I made a deal with my wife that I'd only
watch football one day per week. During college football season, I usually pick Saturday as my day. This worked great for a long time, but my wife knows and sees how much I love the sport, and we have three sons that all love football. Now, if I want to watch an NFL game, she's cool with it, as long as the boys are watching with us. We try to catch all the Packers game, as they're my team.

She's been very understanding, and as I'm getting older, spending a whole day watching football seems like a waste, so we've found a very good compromise. Football is NOT the most important thing we do or watch, but this time of year we're all excited to watch the playoffs.

Occasionally, I'll watch downtown abbie with her and other girly shows, and she watches football with me and the boys. It's a great system.
