The automated system says that my credit card will be charged for the co-pay in the amount of $4,859. I press 0 to speak with a representative and tell them that I was supposed have some sort of a co-pay assistance program on file with them. This was a program from the drug manufacturer that cost $0 to sign up for and really had no eligibility requirements- I just had to tell them that I wanted to sign up for the co-pay assistance program. The pharmacy representative pokes around and confirms that they have the details of that on file so my co-pay is now $5.

So I jump through some bull crap hoops and they just waive off almost $5k (which is my annual out-of-pocket max for my health insurance, btw).
