my email when I expect to get emails I don't really want to see (like if I get a hotel room discount and the email is required or something). I don't check it every day.
The email address is a little quirky (if someone typed it in it would be wild luck and highly unusual for someone to hit right on this address). For the last several months I have been getting emails addressed to "Trace" from the University of Utah. Apparently, Trace is a very good candidate for admission to the U. Or at least whoever entered the information for Trace put in very high GPA and ACT numbers. As the months have gone by, the U's emails have been increasingly demonstrative. They've invited Trace to apply for a variety of scholarships and the later emails make it sound like Trace is all but guaranteed to get good scholarship money. The last two have extended application deadlines to apply to school and to apply for the scholarships.
I sort of wish I knew who "Trace" was. And I can't figure out how my email address ended up attached to Trace's name at the University of Utah.
Another interesting thing I found today in that email inbox was an ad for "silver singles" dating website. I'm not single. And I'm not old enough to qualify for the senior citizen discount anywhere.
