I played on the team back when we were just a club team. It was really cool seeing the University add them as a recognized team. But with that recognition came higher standards. No longer could we have players who were just taking some online classes, we needed legit BYU students and, since hockey is not a very popular sport in LDS communities, we struggled for years.

It is really great to see them playing so well. Would love to see them make the jump to D1 in the next decade.
