Part of their job is to sell these new players to the fans, so you hear a lot of coach speak in these kinds of interviews.

I'm thinking there's a reason he didn't have any other offers when he committed to us. It's possible he flew under the radar, but Mt San Jacinto is a pretty well-known juco that sends guys to the FBS every year, so I doubt it's because scouts didn't see him. I also doubt it's because he was an academic risk, because if he was he wouldn't be coming here.

All that being said, he looks to be a pretty good athlete, so hopefully the coaches will be able to mold him into a good player.
