pace was up and down the floor at a much crazier pace than today.
In 2018-2019 we average more points per game than they did in 1986-1987.
In 2018-2019 we average .8 less possessions per game than they did in 1986-1987. But of course that changes to .4 more if we go to 87-88. By 89-90 they were down to 98.3 a full 1.7 possession below today and 3.7 points per game below where we are at today.
By 92-93 the pace had slowed to 3.2 possessions less than today and 5.4 points less than today.
By 97-98 the pace had slowed to almost 10 possessions less than today and 15.1 points less than today.
