If I were the Big12 I would
do a massive expansion to destroy the Pac12.
The Big12 makes more money then the Pac12, but they can't compete with the SEC and Big10.
They should expand to 16 teams and take a huge chunk out of the Pac12 territory by adding:
BYU- BYU already beats Utah in this market and a BYU team in the BIG12 would destroy Utah in this market
ASU & UofA- rumor is they are not happy with Pac12, give them a financial and competitive reason to leave.
SDSU & UNLV- Both of these schools can help take a chunk out of the Pac12 market. I beleiee if they were part of a real conference fans would start to come out. Plus they both have greate venues for bowl game tie ins.
Boise State- They give a presence in the Northwest (somewhat) and they have great football.

I believe a conference like this would significantly effect the Pac12 in a negative way and increase exposure, recruiting bases and get the Big12 their own network deal.

Won't happen, but hey, that's what I would do.
