I don't ever hear about people filling out their NIT brackets.

But you hear NCAA brackets non-stop for 2 weeks it feels like. A lot of folks watching those first 4 in games are interested in who wins because they want to win their office pool and/or whatever they've dropped in Vegas. It isn't necessarily about interest in those particular teams.

But you are definitely on point about the level of interest from one tourney versus the other.
