stoked that BYU is throwing a bone to Dixie State and scheduled a game with them. I grew up attending Dixie games. My dad and I loved going to them together. We watched Ty Detmer and the Cougars beat Miami together on my 12th birthday. Then, in 1993, my dad bought BYU season tickets. We drove up and attended games together. We watched BYU beat Wyoming in 1996 in Las Vegas.

When Gary Crowton started the JV Squad thing, we went to the BYU vs Dixie game. Dixie killed BYU in that game, and it didn't really feel like a BYU game.

Now my dad is suffering from dementia and he won't be here when BYU and Dixie square off, but I can't wait to see him light up when I tell him about the scheduling agreement. I may just tell him two or three times 'cause it'll be cool to see that reaction again and again.
