momentum lost

The Cougars were up by 14 when Rose took Yoeli out for Worthington, the good momentum we had immediately disappeared when Emery threw a pass that was tipped, then threw a  pass at the three point line that Worthington muffed, which was followed up by another hard pass to Luke by T.J. that went right through Luke.  Worthington cannot handle handoffs very well and certainly does not have the hands to handle hard passes on the move.  By the time Yoeli came back in USF was back in the game and the momentum had shifted dramatically.  If I were Rose and felt inclined to play Worthington for a minute or two a half ( though I would never play him at all), I would tell the other players to never pass him the ball anywhere on the court.  Doing so is almost an automatic turnover.

The collapse by the Cougs was made worse by the fact that the Wasatch Academy coach and many of their players were at the game.  I also saw Jeremy Dowdell of Olympus High at the game with his parents and a teammate.  Dowdell and the Wasatch players all stopped and talked to Anson Winder, who sits in the row in front of us, at great length during halftime.
