Someone put a meeting on my calendar titled "Bi-weekly meeting" and I thought "Great, I only have to meet with this guy every two weeks." Turns out he ascribes to the twice a week definition.

I've always thought of biweekly as every other week.

Well, you're wrong. Bi-annual clearly doesn't mean every other year.
