That conference is horrible. Regardless of how BYU plays it is just bad. There is more to being in conference then wins and losses. BYU is a program with a strong fan base that travels well and supports the program. That alone makes it more valuable then any team in the WCC not named Gonzaga regardless of record.

I live in California and was really excited I could see BYU play live. I would go to the Pepperdine game every year. I enjoy supporting the team and seeing them close up but honestly the atmosphere is not fun. That is not a D1 gym at all, not many people there and mostly just BYU fans. The concessions did not even sell nachos. Seriously, they had peanut butter and jelly sandwiches but no nachos. I am not 7 years old and like some nachos while watching the game. Part of the boringness is from the play but part is also from the atmosphere. There is not one. Your team can lose and it can still be fun in a fun environment. BYU can bring that the other WCC teams (besides Gonzaga) can’t.
Even when BYU wins it’s not that fun of a game.

Eating peanut butter and jelly in a high school gym is not my favorite way to spend an evening.
BYU deserves better.
