Interesting discussion on PFF about impact of pressure vs coverage
The discussion arises in the context of how the 49ers should use the #2 overall pick (which they can use on any of the highest rated prospects because AZ is selecting Murray). Currently the 49ers have an average rate of pressure on opposing QBs, but are absolutely atrocious in their ability to cover WRs. A couple of the PFF guys believe that the Niners would get more value out of the #2 pick by selecting a Corner projected as a mid 1st Rounder vs taking the #1 rated prospect in Bosa. Basically their premise is that teams that struggle applying pressure can win titles while teams that struggle in coverage can't. This is because opposing QBs can get rid of the ball quicker to negate a pass rush, but an offense can't do much to combat elite coverage.

Obviously it would be ideal for the 49ers to trade down with a team like the Giants (#6 & #17) to maximize the value of the pick. But in a scenario where that doesn't come to fruition I still don't see them passing on a better player just to fill a team need with an inferior prospect to maximize value.
