It’s narrow minded because he is focused on the micro and not the macro
We aren’t a dumpster fire program, but with the resources we have as a program we are significantly underachieving and in decline. To focus on a few wins here and there and say we are all good is narrow minded in its thinking. I also think it’s a terrible take because if we had what Gonzaga has with Few, there would not be as much complaining as we see now.
People can blame all sorts of things without specifically calling out Rose for this decline the past couple of years, but as a head coach of a program, it all comes back to the head coach. This isn’t a 1 or 2 year problem with a player who disrupts chemistry, this is a problem since 2012 of continuing to get worse and worse as a program. It’s narrow minded to try and ignore that and distract by saying “look at these cool wins we have, ignore we have yet to win the WCC regular season, win any conference tournament, and in one of our worst NCAA tournament droughts in program history”
