Most assistants would be interested in a HC gig....if they believe they can
coach. BYU doesn’t have to be a lifetime job for him if it’s not his ideal spot. He just has to have 2-3 good years and he’d have opportunities somewhere else.
The coaching business, everywhere else, is all about moving around, building up a team and then leveraging that success for bigger and better things.
