That’s laughably misinformed. It is approximately twice as expensive as normal watershed water. Nobody is suggesting
desal for Central Valley farmers anyway. There is plenty of water in Northern California for them. We’re talking about drinking water for residents, watering golf courses, etc...in Southern California. Desal is a viable option that is widely utilized in arid Middle Eastern countries.
