Moped gangs
Driving around the North Shore today and kept seeing all these, for lack of a better term, moped gangs. Big groups of teenagers and young men driving around on motor scooters together.

I have no reason to call them “gangs” except that it was kind of funny to contrast them with motorcycle gangs of the sort you see on the mainland.

Is this kind of a normal thing there? Has it been going on a long time?

Mopeds make sense there. Not a lot of places you could go much faster than 50 mph anyway on that part of the island and they are much less expensive and easier to maintain.

Just wondering if anyone else has observed this or knows the history.
