I was probably a bit hard on our fans last night. But BYU is never going to be
like other major stadium experiences because of it. It’s a unique place and that’s just fine.

People that say it’s as loud as other places are saying that with some bias but yes, It can get loud and it can be fun and that’s what matters. Utah is louder and it sure seems like all of the fans really get into it. Old people are yelling and even the kids I see at the games are yelling. I don’t know what the difference is. They seem to go for the football game at RES whereas I see a lot more “family time” at BYU where the kids color and play video games.

Maybe I’m way off base. I don’t know. And it doesn’t matter. I wouldn’t want those families to feel like they shouldn’t go together. It’s family. Of course you want them to go to the games. But maybe there is a way to get them into the game more? Maybe put the video games and books away and follow the game? I don’t know. Is that realistic?
