It will be akin to a Mormon kegger with root beer. It can happen. It can be fun. It is just weird and a bit different. It takes a different breed.
I still assert tailgating grew up around the public drinking that happened pre-game. I did just ask one of the guys if they would stay home for the game if he couldn't drink or go to the tailgate if he couldn't drink. He still wouldn't go to the tailgate and the guy drinks like a fish. Anectodatal, of course, but still his opinion. I just don't see tailgating having ever become a cultural staple of college football if it weren't for the opportunity it affords to drink right outside the stadium.
