Not because he didn’t play well, but because he’s put in such an awful position with teammates and other players. I’m not sure there’s really anyone to blame, but it stinks for him.
He doesn’t call attention to himself, yet he is beloved by fans. Like to ridiculous levels that don’t match his performance or nba career (I include myself in the ridiculous love of Jimmer). His first game back is in Utah where he’s more beloved than anywhere else. The crowd cheers like crazy as they have everywhere he’s gone, and so naturally, reporters ask other players about it. And they naturally get bitt hurt about it. He’s about the 24th best player out there, yet the most popular (except maybe Mitchell or any teams #1 star). Who wants to answer questions about a guy on a 10 day contract on a horrible team when your team won by 30? Now opponents and teammates are annoyed with Jimmer as if it’s his fault. It’s this whole thing he has to deal with, his coaches have to deal with, his teammates have to deal with.....and Jimmer didn’t ask for any of it. It just kind of puts him in a no win situation. The hype and love will never match his performance again.
So anyway, that’s why I feel bad for him. He can’t win. Except in my heart. He has won that forever. ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️
