I just get a bottle of water. Once at an event that supplied 2 drink tickets to
each person I asked for a water and handed over a ticket. The lady tore it in half and gave half of it back. I've never seen that before or since, but I got a laugh out of her view of the value of my drink.
Sometimes the extra tickets become potential networking opportunities...
