Can't blame it all on the OL when every other RB did more behind the same OL. Not only produced more with their own carries, but had more carries in general.
And yes it starts up front, but if you can't tell the difference between what Georgia gets at RB and what SC has had, I don't know what to tell you. There's a glaring difference. It goes far beyond the OL. It's actually exaggerating about as much as you can.

The point was that he never earned more. There's simply something to be said about a graduate transfer who never really earned that many carries. He was 2nd to a RB who later split time at DB. That move was supposed to open it right up for Williams, but instead he dropped to 3rd in carries, and there was nothing special about Dowdle or Denson. It's not like they had a superstar #1 come in and steal the show. They were expecting him to be the guy last year and then he just didn't really show up for whatever reason.

They don't pass the ball to RBs much, and he only had 9 catches, but I'd like to see what he can do with open space. It's where he did all of his damage as a college player, which wasn't much, but you see it pronounced when he gets some light. Just because he's 220, don't use him so much inside, but get him the ball in space. He's much quicker and shiftier than he is fast. If we can't get back to passing to the RBs this year, I don't know what they're thinking. Shoot, line him up as a receiver in some sets the way GB did it with Jamaal. He's probably shiftier out there than any of our current WRs outside of Hifo. Maybe even more.
