you consider people expressing serious doubts that he will be the next Jamal Williams to be a "negative" take.
He's a good, solid running back who will provide much-needed depth and probably end up being a key contributor by the end of the season. Getting him was a great score for the coaching staff. If he can get 4-5 carries and 20-30 yards plus a couple of receptions per game then we're getting a bargain.
But given his previous playing history, there's nothing which suggests he will be The Man who can carry the entire offense on his shoulders or run roughshod over our first four opponents.
As proof, I offer his performance against Nick Howell's defense last December: 4 carries, 9 yards. And that was with UVa playing only two defensive linemen for most of the game.
