What is society thinking? You aren't going to reward people who put in a ton of hard work in one of the best areas that they could because you are worried it will offend the others who weren't as good (and for the most part didn't work as hard-I know because I was one of those people that didn't work as hard).

Are we going to start firing people by a lottery system? It doesn't matter who is working hard and making money, paying those people more and promoting them will make the others feel bad.

Are we going to do away with post season tournaments? All 30 teams in the NBA will get a little trophy because we don't want anyone to feel bad that they weren't as good at basketball as others?

When they don't keep track of goals scored at my 5 year-olds soccer games every single one of them knows what the score is. Just like 5 year-olds we all want to know what the score is.

The point of High School is to help prepare our children for life. Getting rid of rankings is the opposite of that. I just don't get it.
