I'm really surprised by some of the responses to this thread. Correct me if I'm
wrong, but I believe the tuition a student pays doesn't just benefit them directly or the specific programs/classes they are involved in.

I imagine some of the tuition a business student pays goes toward the Arts & Humanities programs (and vice versa). So why shouldn't some tuition money support a program like football that has often been the flagship of BYU?

Some of the responses make it sound like that's some sort of socialist policy or something.
